The Love That Doesn't Leave

Valentine's Day highlights many things.

Romance. Celebration. Absence. Memory.

But love did not begin with a person.

Before anyone chose you or rejected you,
before commitment or heartbreak,
before romance ever entered the picture—

Love already existed.

"God is love."

Not that He gives love.
Not that He represents love.

He is love.

Which means love is not something you earn, chase, or secure through performance.

It is something you are rooted in.

You stop chasing from fear.
You stop shrinking to be kept.
You stop performing to be chosen.

Peace replaces striving.

And love becomes overflow, not survival.
